The first school in Enon was a one room building. It was located behind the present Enon Baptist Church. One teacher taught all six grade levels. It closed in 1926 and the students of Enon attended school in Chester.
In 1938, Enon Elementary School was established on our current property. Throughout the following decades, Enon added classrooms and continued to grow in population.
Discussions began in 2015 regarding construction of a new Enon Elementary. Several location options were considered and the decision was made to rebuild on the current property. Temporary housing for the students was provided by Marguerite Christian Elementary.
In June of 2017, Enon staff packed up their supplies, and moved to Marguerite Christian Elementary and became part of “two schools under one roof.” While at Marguerite Christian Elementary we collaborated with their staff and waited for the “New Enon” to be built.
Our new school opened its doors in January 2019.
